Project Proposal

My current major artistic project “Channels” explores ageing and creativity with elder artists, but it has also opened up reflections around technology and the future of art.

I would like to create a documentary and musical response to the video above (a reflection from composer and musician Judith Clingan AO)

It will feature interviews with you, the work you do as a lab, and where you see technology and the future of creativity heading.

I am interested in your thoughts, how you grapple with the ethical considerations of technology and art, and the role that humanity plays in the deployment and use of technology and creativity.

The exact creative form of the proposal remains intentionally open. I'm excited by the possibility of creating with technology, rather than simply documenting it, and exploring how emerging tools might become collaborators within the work itself.

Perhaps the works accompanying composition will be a duet with myself and a robot…
